is difficult to separate the emigrant experience Canonical representations and official speeches are built around it. Usually in terms of visibility, there is much emphasis on the stories, lives and testimonies of emigrants. Little is yet to hear the voices of the protagonists of these stories or to approach the possible narrative strategies that are generated from a symbolic journey that comes from the grassroots. In the best cases, with visions of migration that occur in direct collaboration with stakeholders, but little has been seen on the construction of a distance of this perspective comes from individuals or associations of immigrants.
What if at this stage artists are working with traditional media in terms of contemporary art and begin to address the existing reality by building a metaphorical discourse representing these mechanisms of society? And if artists do this operation in the reality that interventions are able to produce changes and generate improvements? In that territory it works? What are the policies that can assume responsibilities, and as far as can be seen practicing this new hybrid art? This question is what led me to investigate the scope of art and dialogue with the social context, work with immigrant communities in Italy.
